Acoustic Levitator

Nov 2020

Just for Fun

This Arduino-powered contraption uses standing acoustic waves from transistors to hold in mid-air samples of water, insects, or styrofoam balls.  The base is 3D printed and the transistors are soldered to it. Marking the polarity on the transducers and soldering them was quite tedious, but well worth the magical effects. (Hover over videos to play.)
